QUALITY ASSURED INSPECTIONS
The backbone of the Holmes Builder Network is the third-party inspections selected by the homeowner and participating builder to conduct a series of inspections during critical stages of construction on every unit built. If you are considering a home with an HBN member then please ask them about the inspection process and options available.
A home inspection during construction conducted by a third party is not a guarantee and has some limitations as an inspector is not on a building site each day, however, it is industry proven that having third-party inspections will increase the number of deficiencies identified and rectified prior to occupancy. The program requires a minimum number of “core” inspections based on your project, but builders can add additional inspections or create custom upgrade packages for homeowners.
As each project progresses the inspection needs may vary from province to province. Additionally, for specialized project needs, speak to your builder about the third-party inspections, including Mike Holmes Inspections, they have included as part of your renovation or new build project. Make sure you understand the value and documentation that each brings to your project.
